Ingredients

• about 8 brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
• olive oil
• butter or olive oil
• ½ a medium sweet potato, diced small
• balsamic vinegar
• 1 cup chopped mushrooms, optional
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 2-3 chopped scallions, white and green parts
• 2-4 eggs (depends on how many you want per person)
• pinch of red pepper flakes, optional
• salt & pepper
• optional on the side: toast, dollop of greek yogurt with lemon

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Heat a large skillet (cast iron or just a regular skillet), over medium heat. Coat the bottom with a little butter. Add brussels sprout slices and a pinch of salt. Let them cook on each side for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they start to become golden brown on both sides (it's ok if a few of the loose pieces char a little). Remove them from the pan and just set them aside on a plate.
3. Add some olive oil to the pan, followed by the sweet potato cubes and another few pinches of salt & pepper. Leave them alone for a few minutes to develop a char on one side (about 5-8 minutes). Stir them and splash with balsamic vinegar. Add the garlic and mushrooms (if using) and continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes or so (if they're burning turn the heat down). Add approx. ¼ cup water to the pan and pop it in the oven until the potatoes are finished cooking (10-15 minutes, taste test a piece to check).
4. Remove from oven, toss the brussels sprouts on top. Stir in the scallions and a few red pepper flakes. Taste & adjust seasonings.
5. In a separate pan, cook your sunny side up eggs.
6. Plate the potato/brussels sprouts on individual plates (I served mine in individual mini-skillets) and top with an egg, a pinch of salt & pepper.

What Causes Mesothelioma?

Asbestos is known as mineral with very microscopic fiber. The jobs that will always in contact with asbestos will have high risk. Of course, the workers of asbestos mines become the most vulnerable. About 70% to 80% cases of mesothelioma are linked to the exposure of asbestos while working. Aside of working environment, buildings with asbestos will slowly cause cavity that might end up with cancer. In developing into cancer, it might take around 30 to 40 years but some people take 70 years before cancer shows up. What is mesothelioma? And what are the things that will cause this condition? Aside of asbestos, the cancer of mesothelium is also reported to be caused by several other things.

• Zeolites are minerals and chemically related to mineral asbestos. One of the related minerals is known as erionite and commonly found in the soil of some places in Turkey. The exposure of erinite is thought to increase the risk of mesothelioma.

What are Symptoms of Mesothelioma?

Now that the question of what is mesothelioma has been answered and the causes are also known, the time to learn about its symptoms has come. What are mesothelioma symptoms? The initial symptoms are as the followings:

• Short breaths
• Pain in the chest
• Coughing

When these symptoms are ignored, the disease will progress and might cause:

• Increasing short breaths
• Loss appetite
• Night sweats
• Weight loss

There is also a possibility of voice change. Diaphragm might lose its functions and a lot other symptoms in specific areas and might involve adjacent structures. In treating mesothelioma, there will be several types of surgery that might be conducted. What type of surgery that will need to be conducted? It is something that will be decided through the diagnosis. When someone comes to a doctor and diagnosed for mesothelioma, he or she will be examined further. The examination will become a reference in choosing the best treatments. If a surgery is needed, what type of surgery will be best? Is it necessary to conduct two or even three treatments at once? There are a lot questions to be asked to get the best treatment. Asking these questions is more important rather than asking about what is mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma Life Expectancy
